Landers Productions Copyright 2011
Landers Productions is a film, television, and music production company. We also have a talent management division, and we often develop and package projects for many of our own clients, as well as others.
Landers Productions is a family company, spanning two generations. Ruth Landers began her talent management company in New York in 1978, and went to the West Coast to open her Los Angeles division in 1982. Shortly thereafter, she branched out into production, producing music videos, network pilots, infomercials, and feature films. Ruth's ingenuity and quality products led her to become highly respected in the independent film genre.
Ruth Landers' daughters, Audrey and Judy Landers, are the second generation of Landers Productions. During the 1980's and 1990's, they enjoyed worldwide success as television, film and recording stars, under the astute management of their mother, Ruth.
When Ruth brought them in as partners in the production company, they went on to write and co-produce several feature films, music videos, and pop albums. They also wrote and co-produced 50 episodes of the award-winning children's television series, The Huggabug Club, including more than 250 original songs. "Our goal is to continue to produce quality product, combining our individual areas of expertise. Our collective years of experience in show business give us the edge-- not only to compete, but also to excel-- in today's market."

About Landers STAR Collection
During Audrey Landers 30 year career in front of the camera -- with Ruth as her manager and producer-- the duo collaborated with the designers who were styling Audrey-in Hollywood, New York, Las Vegas, Paris and Milan. Over the years they learned the secrets to accentuating ones assets, and camouflaging when necessary.
With that insight and experience, along with their deep love of all things fashion and style, the Landers STAR Collection of womens clothing and accessories was born in 2007, premiering on Home Shopping Europe with great success. Their fashion philosophy is "Every woman is a star and she deserves to shine."
Ruth and Audrey appeared on air (speaking several languages) and had a fruitful year abroad adding to Audreys already established European stardom through her recording career and Dallas fame. They decided to bring the Landers STAR Collection home to the U.S. consumer, where it became available at ShopNbc. QVC UK is the next stop for Landers STAR Collection, as well as select boutiques in the U.S. and Canada. Audrey's son, Daniel Landers, who is an international pop recording artist, is designing a collection of rock n' roll inspired accessories.
This year, they will expand Landers STAR Collection to include a selection of dazzling fashion jewelry, elegant loungewear, and spectacular handbags. Future plans include their Landers Luscious Skin Care products.

Miss Landers is probably best known for her portrayal of Afton Cooper in the world hit television series, "Dallas," in which she co-starred for eight years. Audrey reprised her role as the sultry songstress in the "Dallas" reunion movie for TV. Playing the role of Val in the motion picture, "A Chorus Line," was a challenge that Audrey met head on. Sir Richard Attenborough, the film's director, said, "Audrey wore out two dance coaches. You could have dropped a bomb next to her, yet she never broke her concentration. She is an extremely focused young woman and was the highlight of the movie."
"Music is my first love," says Audrey. At the age of twelve, she made her national television debut, performing a country song she wrote. That led to a recording contract in Nashville for Epic Records-and a year-long stint on the daytime drama, "The Secret Storm." Audrey spent her teen years working on the daytime drama, Somerset." She also studied music at the Juilliard School in New York, while majoring in psychology at Columbia University. Then, Miss Landers moved to Los Angeles, and landed her role in "Dallas" - all before her 21st birthday!
Through the 1980's and 1990's, Miss Landers enjoyed a successful recording career and concert tours throughout Europe. She earned 10 gold singles, 4 gold albums, and 2 platinum albums, having composed most of her hits. She has recorded for Ariola, BMG, Polydor, EMI, and WEA. One of Audrey's most rewarding projects is her award-winning children's television series, "The Huggabug Club." "The show was created by my sister, my mother, and me, as a labor of love for all children." The musical, educational series was donated to PBS by Ruth Landers in 1996, and ran through 2001. Presently it can be seen daily around the world.. Audrey wrote 50 half-hour episodes, as well as the 250 original songs in the series. "It has been a fulfilling experience to write, produce, perform in, and even edit the series," says Audrey. "It is so rewarding to be able to reach out to children and teach them valuable life lessons through music! I never run out of inspiration. I try to look at the world through a child's eyes.
Excerpts from interview for Herald Tribune:
"Playing Afton Cooper on Dallas over a span of 8 years was an incredible experience. Afton was JR's mistress, then Cliff's love, and the sultry songstress, singing all the songs that Audrey wrote.
I have had a wonderful career-- having had my first hit record at age 13, and going on to star in a daytime drama through my teens and college, so that by the time I was 18-- the press referred to me as "veteran actress, Audrey Landers." It was cool then-- but now, well- I am mature enough to know what really matters: I never should have told my real age back then ;) "
You probably know Ms. Landers from her decades in front of the camera in Dallas," A Chorus Line: The Movie, her controversial cover and 10 page pictorial in Playboy Magazine, with her clothes on, daytime dramas, Love Boat, Fantasy Islandthe resume goes on and on. You might not know about her ongoing 3 decade career as a gold and platinum recording artist and songwriter overseas, and you probably dont know that she has written, produced, directed, and edited, a TV series, feature films, and music videos.
"My most recent passion is my fashion collection with my business partner/mother, Ruth. We bring affordable glamour to women across the globe. We premiered on Home Shopping Europe in Munich in 2006, brought the line to the U.S. last year, and we are launching on QVC UK on May 19, 2011, as well as in Italy and Canada.
Several years ago, I left LA to take a break from show biz to spend time with my family, (my husband and two sons) during which time I continued to record and release hits in Europe. I am also the record producer of Daniel Landers, my 17 year old son, who is achieving popularity overseas as a top contestant in Europe's X Factor.
A couple of years ago, as I was basking in the sunshine of "semi retirement" LOL, out of the blue, I was offered a silly character role in a comedy for Fox Films that was shooting in Florida close to my home there-- and in the midst of shooting, producers got word that their series, Burn Notice, had been picked up. The producers asked me if I'd like to do a role in the show--so they wrote in a fun little character- and I stayed for a few episodes. This summer I completed filming a comedy with Jackie Mason called 'In A Pickle" in which I play a cougar who has a 25 year old wrestler boyfriend-- tons of fun!

Ruth Landers was born in Germany and spent her early childhood in Shanghai, China, arriving in America when she was ten years old. She quickly learned to speak English, and was at the top of her class in school. Although she was just a child, she always held a job to help support her family. This industrious work ethic paved the way for Ruth Landers many successes through the years.
Ruth married her high school sweetheart, and for a short time, she dabbled in show business, appearing in television commercials, and as a model, while attending Temple University. While modeling at trade shows for a national paper company, Ms.Landers learned the business side of sales. She was intrigued by the corporate aspect, and soon became their regional sales manager. By the time she was 28 years old, she had started her own printed forms company, and eventually bought out her original employers.
However, show business was never far off. When Ruths older daughter, Audrey, decided at age 5 that she wanted to be a singer and an actress, Ruth somehow managed to find the time to guide and manage Audreys budding career, and some years later to manage Audreys sister Judy as well - all while running a growing printing company. By the time the girls were in their teens, Ruth had also started a talent management company in NYC. Talent management branched into producing film and television properties that would showcase her artists.

The Huggabug Club is the ongoing, award-winning children's musical, educational television series that Ms. Landers created and produced, and donated to Public Television. It is seen in many countries around the globe, and has been dubbed in many languages.
